Flexible Dentures

Flexible Dentures

Denture wearing is no longer the ordeal it used to be. Modern techniques mean they fit far better than they used to, and look far more realistic too. They are ideally suited to people with a number of missing teeth, or perhaps those on a limited budget.

Patients with a number of missing teeth which cannot be replaced in any other way can opt to have dental implants to hold them in place. This makes the dentures far more secure, and makes it easier to eat and speak with them in place.

Valplast Flexible Partial Dentures

The Valplast Flexible Partial is an unbreakable, removable partial that many people find very comfortable. These lightweight partials are practically invisible, and completely eliminate the unsightly metal clasps. Most Valplast Flexible Partials are fabricated without the use of a metal frame – made instead from a strong, durable plastic that snaps securely and comfortably into place around existing natural teeth and gums.

The plastic used is so strong that the partial made from it can be very thin, eliminating that heavy, bulky feeling that make wearing partials so unpleasant. Plus, the colour, shape and design of Valplast Flexible Partials blends in well with the natural appearance of the gums, making the partial virtually invisible

Ongoing care

Even if you have lost all your teeth, you will still need to visit us regularly to ensure that your dentures still fit properly, and also so we can check for signs of oral disease, including mouth cancer. You also still need to care for your mouth, brushing your gums, tongue and palate daily as well as cleaning your dentures thoroughly.

Dentures can be partial, when they are precisely fitted around your own natural teeth, or they can be full dentures if you have lost all of your own teeth. Dentures can be made of plastic, or with a metal framework.

Dentures are a simple, effective and cost effective way of solving the problem of missing teeth, and for most people are trouble free, and will stay comfortably in place.
